Our new Mrs. Galaxy International 2012, Kellie Lightbourn exemplifies a modern day women….

            Happily married for over 11 years, Kellie and her husband Nick are living the American dream with 3 year-old twins, Landyn and Nicholas.  Like many women today, Kellie has learned to successfully balance her role as wife and mother with her need to contribute to the world.  She is an accomplished television personality, attorney and sought-after motivational speaker. She continues to influence lives as the host of “Consumer Update” on ABC Action News and appears nationally on Lifetime Television’s hit show “Designing Spaces.” She has been featured on shows like E! Entertainment, Maury, Animal Planet and EXTRA.  But arguably, Kellie’s most notable accomplishments come by way of her philanthropic endeavors.  
            

Kellie is the co-founder of the National Humane Society and has committed her life to public service receiving many honors for her humanitarian endeavors. Shortly after being crowned Mrs. Galaxy International, she was selected as the official spokesperson for Early Steps.  And together with IYC and the Developmental Disabilities Council has launched a comprehensive campaign to promote early intervention for children at risk for disabilities.  She is also the founder of the nonprofit program Teen Edge, which provides life defining success strategies to our next generation.  Often coined the “Queen of Teens”, she is a recognized authority in teen success strategies and speaks both in the U.S. and abroad.  Kellie’s lifetime achievements have recently received Presidential recognition.
